The Crusaders ventured out to the TGS playing fields last Wednesday to take on the AGSV cricketing power.
The Crusaders batted first, led by multiple Trinity Old Boys, proceeding to set a challenging 203 off their 40 overs. Runs coming on a well prepared pitch to Elliot Brandon-Jones 43, Dean Mastras 25, James Bett 30ret and Callum McIlveen 20*.
Trinity Grammar started their chase with a shaky start. Alex Handcock taking early wickets as TGS were 5/48. To their credit TGS then settled and ended up a respectable 10/173 off 38 overs. The main wicket takers were James Bett (3 & a run-out) and Alex Handock (2)
Thanks to all that took time to play for the Crusaders and to Trinity Grammar School for providing a brilliant wicket, lunch and a competitive fixture. The Crusaders next fixture is on the 14th of November against Melbourne High School.
