Dean Jones

I hope you are staying well and positive in these crazy times.
2020 has been a shocking with the pandemic and the passing of some good friends.
You would be aware that Dean Jones tragically passed away very suddenly in India. With Deano taking a final lap of the MCG last night, it prompted me to write some words.
Dean was one of the greats of Australian and Victorian cricket. He was a great character, a large and full flavoured character! Sometimes he was outspoken and in-your-face, but he was a fantastic player.
Dean changed the game. His batting and running between wickets, a sight to behold, and he could field.
Dean was very good to me. His passing is a big loss to the cricket community, but his flamboyance on field will be fondly remembered.
